(mixed descendants of Spanish colonists and indigenous Indians)

White 16% (unmixed descendants of early Spanish colonists, as well as immigrants from other European countries)
Afro-Ecuadorian + Mulattos + Zambos 5% (largely based in Esmeraldas and Imbabura provinces)
